Knee High Gladiator Sandals from Roberto Cavalli and Jean Paul Gaultier

I was browsing through Zappos.com’s latest arrivals when I came across these:

Roberto Cavalli NPS277, US$1,194 and Jean Paul Gaultier Uma, US$1,399

What do you think?

Both run at mighty high prices that I’m not even sure anyone normal (meaning not a celebrity or a socialite) would even attempt to think about buying it.

There are shoes that are expensive but can be used often so buying them can actually be worth while. But these, well, I simply cannot even begin to fathom if anyone would want to pay that much for the few times that she’ll be able to use it. Because that’s the reality of it, you will only be able to use it a few times.

I’m sure these knee high gladiators are exquisitely made, are made from the best materials, and probably by the best artisans. But I’m also sure fans of knee high sandals will have second thoughts when it comes to shelling out the cash for it. Perhaps if it ran around the US$500 mark, it would be more palatable.

Again, I’m talking about regular people here. If it’s a celeb or a rich socialite who wouldn’t even bat an eyelash when she sees the price tag, then I’m sure buying this pair will be no problem.

Now if you’re by any chance, one of the few who want it and can afford it, then simply visit Zappos.com and make your purchase.
