Nicole Richie Stands Tall in Brown Wedge Sandals

Nicole Richie was spotted shopping at American Rag last week in denim shorts, a printed long sleeve top, and brown leather sandals. It was the second time last week that Nicole was spotted in brown sandals. The first time was during her birthday lunch with friends at an Italian eatery when she wore brown gladiator wedges by Balenciaga.

Nicole’s new brown sandals are by Givenchy. You can get the sandals from Bluefly for $952.

Givenchy Woven Wedge Sandal

The sandal has a tapered round peep toe. It closes with an adjustable goldtone buckle at the side. The wedge is pretty high with the heel part standing at 4 1/2″. The front platform is 1″ high.

Steve Madden Wren Wedge

These wedge sandals from Steve Madden are also made of leather so they’re definitely not a bad choice. For just $109.95, you can get Nicole Richie’s look.

The main difference between the two shoes is that with the Givenchy pair, the woven straps extend to the wedges; with the Steve Madden wedge, the wedges are smooth. The Givenchy sandal was made in Italy while the Steve Madden sandal is from China.

Nicole Richie, former TV star and now businesswoman just turned the big 3-0. Nicole had birthday lunch with friends at the Italian eatery Cecconi.

Nicole was wearing a yellow maxi dress with a deep V-neck and a slit at the front. She also had on sunglasses and brown wedge gladiator sandals.

The sandals are by Balenciaga. These sandals were released a few years ago (in fact they were the most popular and most copied sandals in 2009) so they are no longer available in the stores. We did find the following beautiful alternatives to Nicole’s sandals from Endless:

This sandal from Aquatalia by Marvin K Xcite Wedge is funkier than the Balenciaga sandal. The upper part of the sandal has wood, studs, and bejeweled details. The upper part of the sandal is made of waterproof leather and manmade sole. The heel of the sandal is 3 inches.

Dolce Vita Gasha Wedge Sandal

The Gasha wedge sandal has thin leather straps, leather lining, and leather sole. It’s the kind of sandal that you can wear with jeans, skirts, shorts, and dresses.

Maxstudio Skool Wedge Sandal

This Maxstudio sandal features studs and buckles. It’s more complex that Nicole’s sandal but it’s certainly not over-the-top. The stacked wooden heel of the sandal is 3.5″. The upper part of the sandal is made of leather but the sole is made of man-made material.

The next sandal from Me Too is as simple and chic as the sandals that Nicole had on.

The Me Too sandal is made of leather upper and rubber sole. It is 4″ high.

The next sandal is called the Jackson wedge by Cynthia Vincent.

The sandal is made of leather sandal and leather sole. The heel is 4″ while the platform is 1″. It’s the sandal that you can wear with flared jeans so you can get additional inches to your height.

Spotted on Nicol Richie‘s feet were these black Fabrizia roman sandals from Modern Vintage:

She was seen wearing these roman sandals practically everywhere while she was still pregnant with Sparrow James Midnight, her second child with partner Joel Madden.

If a lady chooses to wear these roman sandals 24/7 while pregnant, then these must be some darn comfy sandals!

The Modern Vintage Fabrizias are available on Shoes.com for $227.00, but of course, we didn’t stop there. We like looking around for a better deal and we enjoy a good hunt.

These Irus sandals from Dolce Vita are eerily the same as the ones from Modern Vintage:

If you color it black and take off the fringe attachment at the heel, then you’d have the Fabrizia sandal! Except these Dolce Vitas are selling for $167.00, 60 dollars cheaper than the Modern Vintage sandals.

Speaking of eerie identical sandals, again, take a look at these Bronx Peach sandals with a fringe attachment at the back of the heel:

The only difference between these and the Dolce Vitas is the fringe is attached upside down! They’re also a really good knock-off of the Fabrizias. At just 1/2 the price of the Dolce Vitas and 1/3 of the Modern Vintages, these Bronx Peach sandals look like the best deal – even if they are knock-offs.
