Check out this picture of Diane Kruger and boyfriend Joshua Jackson. The two were spotted walking around Soho, New York last April 20. They look so cute together, don’t you agree? I hope they last.

The floral embellished thong sandals on Diane’s feet immediately caught my attention. I have been seeing a lot of this type in stores lately. It seems to be an ongoing spring trend.

The first pair I ever saw with floral appliqué on it was a Giuseppe Zanotti creation. Retail price? US$650.

While the Giuseppe Zanotti sandals are beautiful, not everyone can afford it. So I went off looking for a more pocket-friendly option and here’s what I found:

GUESS Artly 2 Flat, US$68

What do you think? This GUESS Artly 2 Flat is quite a close call to Diane’s save for the difference in straps. And it will only cost you US$68! That’s a steal!

Bracelets and Anklets on Roman Sandals?

Bracelets and/or anklets for straps – is this the new thing in roman sandals?

New sandal arrivals are showing more and more of this style and here are just 3 of them:

Giuseppe Zanotti E00327s

They brought out the bling for these Giuseppe Zanotti roman sandals. And for a whopping $1,360, there better be real gold or silver on those bracelet straps!

Here’s something a little bit more subdued (but still relatively expensive at $250.00). The “bracelets” are decorated with sparkly studs to give an illusion of opulence and to probably justify that 250-dollar price tag. But it’s not very successful on these roman sandals because don’t they look like hair ties from afar? There are scrunchies even sparklier than these.

Steven Atone

These sandals from Steven by Steve Madden are the cheapest of the three but this is the only one that doesn’t look like you’re wearing your mother’s jewelry or hair ties on your ankles. The antique-finish studs aren’t glaringly calling for attention – except of course if you purchase the yellow or red colors of these sandals. $119.95.

Are you liking the bracelet strap trend on roman sandals? Or do you think bracelets should stick to staying on arms and wrists where they belong?

Hilary Duff and Lindsay Lohan Lookin’ Über-Chic in Giuseppe Zanotti

Can anyone remember these two having some sort of rivalry (or should I say a cat fight?) over Aaron Carter back in early 2000?

It is actually quite funny to see these young actresses now sporting the same type of sandals, although let’s not wonder why.

Obviously, Giuseppe Zanotti has a huge celebrity following so seeing more than one celebrity wearing the exact same style is nothing but common.

So who do you think looks hotter in the sandals? Hilary, in her sophisticated casual-chic get-up? Or Lindsay, in her hippie-chic look? You be the judge. It’s a good thing they chose different colors, right?

The Giuseppe Zanotti E902704 is actually just one of the many exquisite sandals created by the designer. It is made of luxurious leather material and its flat heels make it a prime choice for errands that require comfortable shoes, such as walking about town.

The adjustable buckle closure makes it an even better choice for those who want to customize the fit of the shoes to their own preference.

The Giuseppe Zanotti E90274 retails for US$650, not exactly easy on the pocket. But if you’re willing to purchase this in white, you can get it for only US$315 at Zappos.com. That’s a price cut of more than 50%! Now that’s a steal!
