Kristin Cavallari was looking every bit the California Girl that she is when she attended the Coachella Fest last week.

She was photographed enjoying the event in a sexy tie dye tank, short jean shorts that showed off her tanned legs, and a pair of bohemian looking sandals that came with fringes around the ankle cuff.

The look was simple and casual, but with the statement shoes, it was perfect and spot on. It’s also a good thing that she chose a neutral color; had it been black, it would have looked a little off.

The pair by the way, is by Koolaburra and it is called the Venus Fringe Sandal. It comes in Black and Chestnut (as seen on Kristin), both of which are available for purchase at Singer22.com.

Celebrity style icon Kate Bosworth and her boyfriend Alexander Skarsgard were the paparazzi favorite during Coachella’s 3-day event.

On the couple’s second day, boyfriend Alex lost his temper and almost got into a fight with one of the prying photographers. Kate however, kept her cool as she stood by her man in a very in-season tie dye number paired with some lace-up cutout sandals from Joie. The look was casual but effortlessly sexy.

Gwen Stefani: White Nylons and Sandal Booties?

Ok here’s the thing, I’m a Gwen Stefani fan. But this Gwen Stefani look, I seriously don’t like:

A metallic below-the-knee number with white nylons and ankle-high sandal booties – what was she thinking, right?

This was taken last April 15, when she attended the  Tod’s boutique opening.

Don’t get me wrong, the sandals are really cool with its multiple cutouts (it’s actually the Zan Sandal from Gwen’s fashion line, L.A.M.B.), but I do wish her dress was shorter.

And what’s with the white nylons? She would have looked so much better without it.

It seems Gwen likes sporting white stockings these days. Because I found another photo of her wearing one.

What do you think?

Honestly, these pictures make me wonder if she’s trying to hide her legs or something. But really, we all know it’s not that.

I know she has an unusual fashion sense, a little Harajuku-like; however, this particular Gwen Stefani style, I truly don’t appreciate.

Had I my way, I would probably ask her to keep the shoes but wear a shorter dress; and definitely lose the white stockings!

Amanda Seyfried Walks Her Dog in Flat Sandals

Whenever we spot a celebrity wearing a nice pair roman sandals, we do our best to look for similar alternatives. That said, I just want to say that I had a hard time looking for sandals like Amanda Seyfried’s in these pictures because apparently, hardly anyone makes simple single-strap sandals anymore.

Here are the sandals I’m talking about, spotted on Amanda Seyfried when she took out her Aussie Shepherd Finn for a walk on April 15. Finn looks adorable with that cone around his head:

As you can see, Amanda Seyfried’s sandals are nothing special. They’re just a simple pair of flats with minimal straps: one that goes over the toes and one that goes around the ankles. They’re not even studded or anything, except for that hint of a buckle glinting as it catches the light.

So why is it so hard to find sandals like these? These next 3 flat sandals were the closest I could find. I had to look everywhere for these three, and I found them from 3 different online merchants:

These would’ve been it, but the rickrack straps, the shiny leather, and the chunky heel detract from its simplicity. Vaneli Dulcet, $40.00 down from $100.00.

It’s a single-strap roman sandal! Just don’t mind the dual-strapped ankle cuff. Bamboo by Journee Women’s Mochi Roman Sandals, $49.86.

Patagonia is known for their simple designs, but even they had to add a toe loop and a heel cover on these plain sandals. Patagonia Women’s Bandha Strap, $95.00.

Let me know if you come across a simple pair of flat sandals like Amanda Seyfried’s!

Fresh Sandals from Moschino, DVF, and Fossil

Here’s a fresh gladiator silhouette for the roman sandal junkie – the 8-strap or loop strap.

The strap of the sandal basically loops around to form the figure “8″, as in the case of the Fossil Lulu Sandal below:

Fossil Lulu Sandal, US$39

Of course, the classic gladiator silhouette with thick horizontal straps is still around. But because of its all-too-masculine appeal (and the fact that it is also height cutting), brands are now offering alternative styles that are more flattering to wear, such as the 8-strap.

This new breed of sandals comes with thinner and fewer straps that are less horizontally inclined. When worn, these sandals are more feminine and definitely much sexier to look at as it shows more skin on the feet.

Moschino, Diane Von Furstenberg, and Fossil are the latest brands to offer sandals with this kind of silhouette.

Moschino Chi, US$299

Fossil Lulu Sandal, US$39

Diane Von Furstenberg Kula, US$249

You can tell just by looking that these sandals are exceptionally sexy. The thin straps together with the curved silhouette that mimics a slithering snake create a sophisticated, more refined, yet sensual appeal that make it irresistible to have, even with the US$200++ price tag on the two designer pairs.

All three (3) sandals are available at Zappos.com.
